Does it cost me anything?
No. You pay the same price as anyone else, and you still get the discount. The donation comes from the commission the store pays us.
How much does my charity or club get?
50% of the commission we receive for your order. Stores usually pay between 2% and 10% of the order value, so on a $100 order the commission is typically $2 to $10, and your charity or club gets 50% of that.
When is the money paid?
We pay each cause its confirmed commission every quarter (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct), once the store has confirmed the sale, usually 30 to 90 days after the order.
How do causes get paid?
By bank transfer, to the account we agree with each charity or club. Every quarter each cause gets a statement by email listing what's pending and what's confirmed. There's no minimum: we pay whatever has been confirmed. The donations come from Digital Gnome Ltd (company no. 14004495), 6 Pollard Close, Caerleon, Newport, NP18 3SS. We don't donate commission from adult, vape, gambling or alcohol stores, and we never show a charity or club alongside them.
What if I return my order or cancel it?
Then the store doesn't pay a commission on it, so there's nothing to donate. That's why we wait for the store to confirm each sale, after its returns window, before counting the donation. When causes are paid.
How do you know which charity or club I picked?
We save your choice in a cookie on your device. When you click through to a store, we record the click against your charity or club and pass a reference to the store's affiliate network, so the commission can be matched back to it. We don't need your name or email.
What if a sale isn't tracked?
Ad blockers, private browsing or switching device can stop a store tracking your order, and then no commission is paid. Clicking through from Promo Magpie just before you buy gives the best chance.
