Does it cost me anything?
No. You pay the store's regular price, or less if there's a promo code. The donation comes out of the commission the store pays us, not your pocket.
I've never used promo codes. Do I have to?
No. Plenty of stores have no code at all, and that's fine: clicking through from Promo Magpie is what counts. When there is a code, we copy it for you and you paste it in the "promo code" box at the store's checkout.
How much does ASPCA get?
50% of what the store pays us. Stores usually pay 2% to 10% of what you spend, so a $100 order typically earns $2 to $10, and ASPCA gets 50% of that. It adds up when lots of people do it.
When does the money reach them?
We pay each cause its confirmed commission every quarter (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct), once the store has confirmed the sale, usually 30 to 90 days after the order.
