Chrome says it can “Read your browsing history”, “Read and change your data on promomagpie.com” and “Modify data you copy and paste”. Firefox asks to “Access browser tabs”, “Access your data for vouchermagpie.co.uk” and “Input data to the clipboard”.

That's so it can spot which shop you're on, show its codes and copy a code for you. Matching happens on your device; we never see where you browse.

Private by design

  • It matches the store you're on against our store list on your device. The sites you visit are never sent to us or anyone else.
  • It never changes a page or adds a tracking link by itself. Only when you click a code, a deal or "Shop and support" does the store open through our link, just as it would from our website.
  • Signed in? The extension uses your account so purchases you start from it count for your cause. It records only the store and time of each click-through, never your browsing.
  • No analytics, and no browsing history collected. Remove it any time from your browser's extensions page.
