American Barbell is a US strength-equipment maker that says it started in 1978 as an original equipment manufacturer for big fitness brands before selling under its own name. It credits itself with the first hard-chrome bar (1998), the first urethane bumper plate (2012) and a Cerakote Olympic bar (2016), and says it supplies NFL teams, the US military and large gym chains. Its site lists a Las Vegas mailing address alongside showroom and warehouse locations, and it runs an education programme called American Barbell Athletics.
The store is built around barbells: training, power, deadlift and specialty bars in hard chrome, stainless steel and Cerakote finishes, including the heavy-duty Il Padrino deadlift bar. Beyond bars there are urethane and rubber bumper plates, iron plates, urethane dumbbells and kettlebells, racks, benches, storage and accessories, for both garage gyms and commercial fit-outs.
