DrHouse, Inc. is a New York telehealth company whose app connects patients with board-certified doctors by video, around the clock and in all 50 states. You choose a doctor by availability, specialty or rating, start a video visit, and if the doctor decides a prescription is appropriate, it's sent to your chosen pharmacy for pickup, or delivered in some areas.
Visits cover non-emergency care such as colds and flu, sinus and urinary infections, skin problems, prescription refills, doctor's notes and lab test referrals, along with men's and women's health, primary care for long-term conditions, and programs for hair loss, quitting smoking and weight management. Having a visit doesn't guarantee a prescription: that's the doctor's decision, and controlled substances aren't prescribed or refilled through virtual visits.
A one-time physician visit costs your insurance copay, or $129 without insurance. If DrHouse can't provide care you can request a refund, though its policy lists exceptions, such as when a doctor's note or prescription was given. Promo codes are entered in the app at checkout, one per visit, and new users can join through a friend's referral link. It also offers telehealth plans for employers.
