GetOut, also known as GetOutPass, is a membership for families who want to try more local attractions without paying full admission each time. It is based in Lehi, Utah, and its CEO is Kyle Poll. The company says it works with more than 2,300 venues and has over 300,000 members.
You buy a pass for your area, such as Utah, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Las Vegas, New England or St. Louis, and it runs for 12 months from activation. Inside the GetOut app you pick an attraction, show the offer at the front desk and get in. Venues range from trampoline parks, bowling, laser tag and roller coasters to aquariums and water parks, and each offer has its own rules: some are once a year, others reset monthly or quarterly, and venues can set blackout dates. Gift passes, bulk purchases for companies and a fundraiser program are also offered.
It suits families who go out often and live near one of its markets. The pass is digital, so there is nothing to ship. Each membership is tied to one named person and can't be transferred, and memberships renew automatically at the current price for your market unless you switch auto-renew off in your account settings.
