About Lybethras
Lybethras is a Brazilian swimwear brand, founded in 2007 and now run by a mother-and-daughter design team. Its pieces are handmade by women artisans in Brazil, and the brand says it has been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for 17 years in a row (its homepage banner now says 18). Several of its current sets are named for the models who wore them in the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and on the SI runway, and the brand has shown at Miami Swim Week for years.
The range runs from micro bikinis and Brazilian-cut bikinis to hand-made crochet and macrame sets, a bridal collection, bikini tops in bandeau, bralette, halter, triangle and underwire styles, cheeky to full-coverage bottoms, and one-pieces, with some styles in XXL. Prices sit at the designer end of swimwear, especially for the Sports Illustrated pieces, and the store's country selector lets US shoppers see prices in US dollars.
Lybethras talks a lot about sustainability. It uses a biodegradable CO2control fabric certified by Oeko-Tex, Lycra Xtra Life with UV50, and some upcycled tops, and it donates fabric swatches to SERVI, a Brazilian nonprofit that supports women facing unplanned pregnancies. Returns are only accepted from the United States and Brazil, where the brand has its companies, so US shoppers are covered but should read the exceptions before buying a thong or sale piece.
