Nautilus Puzzles makes wooden jigsaw puzzles in San Luis Obispo, on California's Central Coast. Its puzzles are cut from 4mm FSC-certified birch plywood, with artwork and whimsy pieces, shaped like animals and objects, designed in-house.
The range runs from tiny 10-piece puzzles and 50 or 60-piece minis to puzzles of around 150, 500 and 1,000 pieces, with themes from ocean scenes and the Pacific Northwest to antiques, flowers and cabinets of curiosities. There are shaped seasonal sets for Easter and other holidays, and custom puzzles made from your own photo, including ready-made designs for occasions such as Thanksgiving. Gift certificates are sold too.
