Saily is a travel eSIM provider. Instead of buying a local SIM card when you land, or paying your carrier's international roaming charges, you buy a prepaid data plan for the country or region you're visiting and install it on your phone as an eSIM through the Saily app for iPhone and Android.
Saily comes from the same group as NordVPN, the VPN service developed by Nord Security, which has offices in Lithuania, the UK, Panama and the Netherlands. That background shows in the app: Saily says every plan includes a virtual location feature, an ad blocker and web protection that blocks known malicious sites, at no extra cost. It has also added an optional US phone number for calls and texts.
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into most recent smartphones, so you can keep your regular SIM for calls and texts while the travel plan handles mobile data. Before you buy, check that your phone supports eSIM and isn't locked to your carrier. Plans are sold for single countries, regions and worldwide use, in fixed data amounts or as unlimited plans with a daily high-speed allowance.
