About Jumbo Car Costa Rica
Jumbo Car is a car rental network with more than 45 years in the business, operating in the French Caribbean, Réunion, French Guiana, the Dominican Republic, Sint Maarten, Ivory Coast and Costa Rica. Jumbo Car Costa Rica is the local operation, licensed by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) and a member of CANATUR, with English-speaking staff available seven days a week.
It has two offices: one near Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela, for the Central Valley, volcanoes and cloud forests, and one near Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, for Guanacaste's beaches. Both sit just outside the terminals and run a free shuttle. The fleet leans towards vehicles suited to Costa Rica's roads, such as the Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Vitara, Kia Sportage and the seven-seat Mitsubishi Montero Sport, plus economy cars, automatics and passenger vans.
Online rates include unlimited mileage, the mandatory liability insurance and airport taxes, and you can change or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up. You'll need a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit, and age limits start at 18 for small cars, rising to 21 or 25 for larger models.
