Magazines Direct is the subscription shop run by Future Publishing, the British publisher behind dozens of specialist magazines. Rather than stocking everyone's titles, it sells subscriptions to Future's own: Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Prog, Guitarist, Country Life, Horse & Hound, The Field, Decanter, woman&home, Ideal Home, Livingetc, FourFourTwo, Golf Monthly, Rugby World, T3, What Hi-Fi?, Retro Gamer, PC Gamer, The Week and The Week Junior, among many others. Future says it publishes 80 magazines and more than 568 bookazines a year.
The US version of the site prices everything in US dollars, and the price includes delivery. Most titles come as print, digital or a print-and-digital bundle, and many are rolling quarterly, annual or two-year subscriptions that you can stop renewing at any time. Print subscriptions usually include digital access to the back-issue archive. There are also one-off specials and annuals, single back issues of the specialist titles, binders, and free trials on some titles such as The Week.
The magazines are posted from the UK, so the FAQ says US delivery can take up to 14 working days and a new subscription can take up to eight weeks to start. Accounts, missed issues and pauses are handled through Future's My Magazine site.
