About myTEFL
myTEFL is the course brand of Footprints Language Education Ltd., based in Vancouver, and has taught online since 2013. It says it was set up by educators who ran language schools in Asia in the early 2000s and built their own training because newly certified teachers often weren't ready for the classroom.
The main products are self-paced online TEFL certificates for teaching English as a foreign language. The 120-hour Professional course ($299) is the standard qualification many employers ask for, and the 140-hour Master course ($349) adds a 20-hour module on teaching online. Shorter 80-hour ($189) and 40-hour ($139) courses suit teachers refreshing their skills or people trying TEFL out. The longer courses include tutor support and lifetime help with job placement through its network of partner schools in countries such as Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Spain and Costa Rica.
For people who want more structure, it runs teach-abroad internships that combine the course with an in-country orientation and a paid teaching job, in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina and South Africa. These need a deposit to book, with the balance due before departure. Prices are in US dollars, and online course fees aren't refundable once you're enrolled.

Does using Promo Magpie cost more?
No. You pay myTEFL's normal price, less any discount. Our commission is paid by myTEFL or its affiliate network, not by you.
