Run for Freedom is the yearly charity race organised by EDEN (Restoring Eden Together), a US non-profit that buys and renovates rental properties and uses the rent to fund organisations working against human trafficking. EDEN was started by two couples, Leslie and Juan Garcia and Brandon and Nicole Far, after a service trip to Thailand in 2018.
The race offers 5K and 10K options on a timed loop around Puddingstone Reservoir in Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, San Dimas, California. The 2026 event is on Saturday 7 November, and there is a virtual option for people who want to take part from elsewhere. Runners and walkers of any pace are welcome, and the day includes post-race recovery, entertainment, runner bags, speakers and vendor stalls. Companies can enter a corporate team of at least five employees or sponsor the event.
It suits runners, walkers, families and workplace teams in Southern California who want a race with a cause, and anyone further away through the virtual entry. Registration is handled through RunSignup and prices are in US dollars. If you can't run, EDEN also takes donations and volunteers.
