The Jerusalem Export House has been selling gifts from the Holy Land since 1969. Most of its range is carved by hand from olive wood in Bethlehem, a craft local artisans have practised for centuries, and the shop introduces some of the carvers it works with on its site. Since 1999 it has been owned by AZ Trading Co., a marketing company based in Jerusalem, and its US contact address is in Leominster, Massachusetts.
The catalogue is aimed at Christian gift-giving and home decoration. You'll find olive wood crosses and crucifixes, nativity sets from small starter scenes to 13-piece sets with a manger, statues of the Holy Family, rosaries, crown of thorns pieces, candle holders, boxes and Christmas tree ornaments, along with mother of pearl items, pendants, souvenir sets and anointing oil. There's a Christmas collection and a clearance section.
Orders are placed online, and there's a toll-free US number for help. Churches, gift shops and resellers can apply for wholesale pricing of up to 45% off on qualifying bulk orders through a separate wholesale site.
