Traced sells an at-home environmental exposure test based on hair. It's run by Traced Ltd., whose founder and CEO Dr Manish Arora built the method on research at Mount Sinai, and the samples are analysed by LinusBio in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
There's one product, the Traced Environmental Exposure Test at $299. The kit comes with a tube, a label and a prepaid return envelope. You cut at least five strands of hair close to the scalp, post them back, and the lab measures 15 elements, including lead, cadmium, arsenic and aluminium alongside magnesium, zinc, copper and calcium, mapped over roughly 30 days of hair growth. Results usually arrive by email around 15 business days after the lab gets your sample, with a report you can view online.
The company describes the test as informational only: it isn't a diagnosis or treatment and hasn't been evaluated by the FDA, so talk to a doctor about anything in your results. Prices are in US dollars. Refunds are limited, mainly to requests made within 48 hours of paying, so be sure before you order.
