Gisada is a luxury brand from Switzerland, with a flagship store in Zürich, best known for its fragrances. Alongside the perfumes it sells a fashion range of hoodies, knitwear, denim, puffers and caps. The US version of the site prices everything in dollars. It suits anyone who wants a designer-style scent without going to the big department-store names, and people buying gifts, since several fragrances come in boxed sets.

What's worth a look

The perfumes fall into lines (Prestige, Uomo & Donna and the newer Luxury Line), and most come in 50 ml and 100 ml bottles.

Ambassador Men is one of the most-reviewed scents on the site. Gisada describes it as a mix of raw freshness and warmth, and the 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) eau de parfum is $89, with Ambassadora as its women's counterpart at the same price. If you don't know the range, the Luxury Line Samples set is the cheaper start: $29.90 for five 1.5 ml samples, one of each Luxury Line scent. The Luxury Fragrance Travel Set at $150 packs Imperial, Iris, Rose, Royal and Oud into one case for traveling.

The fashion side is worth a look if you like visible branding. There are cotton twill baseball caps printed with the Gisada College logo for $65, along with T-shirts, polos, hoodies, joggers, puffers and denim for men and women. The fragrance pages list the bottle sizes in both milliliters and fluid ounces, and the 100 ml bottles cost more than the 50 ml prices shown here. Gisada also sells scented candles and discovery sets, and its FAQ says customer support aims to reply within 24 hours on business days and can help with sizing and product questions. If you're in Switzerland, the full collection is in the Zürich store, but US shoppers order online and see the shipping cost at checkout.

Gisada's newsletter sign-up, in the footer of every page, gives 10% off your first order, and that's the offer we have listed too. We didn't see any sale prices on the fragrances we checked. The gift sets come in at $95 to $99, about the price of the 50 ml bottle on its own, so they're worth a look if you're buying a present.

How to save more

• Use the 10% newsletter code on your biggest order. It's a first-order discount, so it's worth more on a 100 ml bottle or a gift set than on a sample pack.
• Try samples before a full bottle. Gisada's discovery sets let you test scents first, and the returns policy says beauty and personal care goods can't be returned.
• Returns on other items must be requested within 14 days of delivery, unused, in the original packaging, and sale items can't be returned.
