HerbsPro is an online health and wellness retailer based in Hayward, California, and its about page says it has been trading since 2004. The catalog is huge, with over 50,000 products from more than 2,000 brands: vitamins and supplements, natural and gluten-free foods, natural cosmetics, hair care and everyday toiletries, right through to home medical supplies. It ships from its own warehouses on both US coasts, so it suits shoppers who like to restock pantry staples and bathroom basics in one order.

Product pages show the store's price next to the manufacturer's list price (M.R.P.), and many carry an extra product-specific discount code, which is where the real savings are.

Customer service is based in Hayward and answers by phone and email Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific. Each product page breaks the price down into the store's own price, the M.R.P. and what you pay after any extra discount, so you can see the real saving at a glance. Beyond supplements, it's worth browsing for gluten-free baking flours, natural toiletries and baby formula, which many shoppers don't expect to find here.

What's worth a look

A mix of pantry, beauty and everyday picks, with the prices shown on the US site today.

The Now Foods Castor Oil softgels are listed at $10.04, and the page shows an extra 50% off with code SAVE50, taking it to $5.02 at checkout. The 128 oz George's Aloe Vera Liquid has its own SAVE20 code. These codes are product-specific, so read the box on each page rather than assuming one code works sitewide.

Current offers

• Free US shipping on orders of $49 or more, for items under 2 lb; the store has a collection of eligible products.
• An extra 12% off when you order in the HerbsPro mobile app with code APP20.
• A buy one get one free collection: buy any two eligible products and get one free, applied automatically.
• The newsletter sign-up offers 10% off your first order.

How to save more

• Check each product page for its own code (SAVE5, SAVE20, SAVE50 and so on). They can beat the sitewide offers.
• Keep heavy items in mind: free shipping applies to items under 2 lb, so a large tub may add shipping even over $49.
• Use the BOGO collection for snacks and bath products you'd buy anyway, like the Better With Buckwheat crackers.
