Mure + Grand is a woman-owned, New York-based boutique founded by Emily Guggino, with shops in Nomad, Soho, the Seaport and the West Village, plus holiday market booths. Online, it sells the same mix you'd find in store: its own NYC-themed sweatshirts and hoodies, puff cardigans, inexpensive jewelry, bag charms, socks, hats and small gifts. There's a Boston collection too.

It's a good fit if you're after a New York souvenir that isn't an "I love NY" mug, a fun gift for a friend who's moved away from the city, or affordable trend jewelry. Prices are in US dollars, and the brand ships across the US.

The fall range leans into cherries and city icons: the NYC Cherry Patchwork Rollneck Sweatshirt is $68, with matching NYC Cherry Wide Leg Sweatpants at $59 if you want the set. The Piper the Pigeon NYC Puff Cardigan ($79) is one of the store's novelty knits, and the New York Fleece Pull Over ($84) is the warmer option for winter.

For smaller gifts, the NYC Bag Charm Blind Box is $27, and the New York Frill Pilates Grip Socks are $18. The bracelet collection runs from beaded resin bracelets to chunky cuffs, including the Horses On Parade Bracelet at $34.

The jewelry side also covers earrings, rings and necklaces, plus jewelry storage and trays, and the accessories range runs to sunglasses, bags, hats, enamel pins, keychains and hair accessories. It's an easy place to put together a small gift bundle around one sweatshirt. If you're local, the Nomad, Soho and Seaport shops are open 9am to 9pm daily, according to the locations page, and there's a fourth shop in the West Village, so you can see the jewelry in person before ordering more online.

• Order carefully on clothing. The return policy gives you 15 days, and clothing, including M+G hoodies and sweatshirts, can only be exchanged or swapped for store credit, not refunded, unless it arrived damaged or faulty.
