Carla is a car rental booking site and app that lets you compare cars from rental companies in one search. It says it works with 834 suppliers across 2,289 cities in 153 countries, with more than 25,000 pickup locations, including US cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Las Vegas, New York and Chicago.
The company launched from Istanbul in January 2016 and says it has handled more than 16 million rentals since. Prices are shown with mandatory fees included, and most bookings can be canceled for free up to 48 hours before pickup, which makes it easy to rebook if you find a better rate.
Carla's app has some discounts that are only for app users, and some city pages offer a Skip The Line package. Drivers under 25 can filter for cars marked "underage fee waived" to avoid the young-driver fee, which Carla says usually runs $30 to $40 a day. Customer support is available 24/7.
