About Coveron
Coveron is an identity theft and scam protection service for people in the United States, built by Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. It launched in 2024 as NordProtect and took the Coveron name in May 2026, when it grew from basic identity monitoring into a wider package covering credit, finances and recovery from online scams. Nord Security itself was founded in 2012 and is based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Once you sign up, you add the details you want watched, such as email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers and your Social Security number. Coveron scans the dark web around the clock, checks your credit file with TransUnion, and sends an alert when something suspicious turns up, with step-by-step guidance on what to do next. If the worst happens, its plans include identity theft recovery with a US-based case manager and reimbursement of up to $2 million for eligible expenses, plus cover for cyber extortion and online fraud losses, underwritten by HSB Specialty Insurance Company. Plans also bring access to NordVPN and the Incogni data removal service.
There are Scam Protection, Identity Protection and Full Protection levels, and Couples and Family plans cover up to two or five adults plus any number of children under 18. Insurance benefits apply to US residents, including US territories and DC, except New York. Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
