Luxy is a dating app that pitches itself at successful, selective singles who want a serious relationship. It has been matching singles since 2014 and works worldwide on iOS and Android. Every new profile is reviewed by the Luxy team within 24 hours of sign-up, looking at the bio, occupation and photos, and members can add a photo verification badge. Income verification is optional. Luxy says plainly that sugar dating and transactional arrangements are not allowed, and accounts set up for that are removed.
The app is free to download and use for the basics: viewing profiles, daily recommendations, liking and passing, and unlimited messaging with mutual matches. On top of that are three paid memberships. Luxy PLUS adds profile visitors, double daily recommendations, advanced filters, location search and anonymous or hidden browsing. Luxy BLACK, the most popular tier, adds BLACK Messages (messaging someone before you match), the Who Likes Me list and immediate access while your profile is reviewed. Luxy PLATINUM sits at the top, with priority placement, a free monthly Boost and unlimited BLACK Messages.
There are also Coins, an in-app currency for extras such as Boosts, Super Likes, extra swipes and read receipts. Membership prices depend on plan length, currency and current promotions, and are shown in the app at checkout; Luxy's help center says the premium tiers regularly start at €49.99 a month. You must be 18 or over to join.
