DEME by Gabriella is the label of designer Gabriella Demetriades, founded in 2012 and focused on made-to-order womenswear: sculpted gowns, cocktail dresses, co-ord sets, tops and a few accessories. Every piece ships from the atelier in Mumbai, India, and prices on the site are in US dollars. The brand says duties and taxes are included in the price at checkout (orders ship Delivered Duty Paid), so there's nothing extra to pay when the parcel arrives in the US.

It suits anyone shopping for a wedding, gala or big birthday who wants something more sculptural than a department store gown, and who can plan a couple of weeks ahead.
