Shortcut Chat is an AI chat app built around one idea: type a prompt once and get answers from up to three models side by side. It covers models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others, plus image models such as Flux, Seedream and Gemini. You can compare the results, keep the best one and drop the models you don't need. It suits people who already pay for more than one AI chatbot, or who want a second opinion on research, writing or work questions without copying the same prompt between tabs.

What's worth a look

There are three paid plans, all with the same features. The difference is how much use is included each month.

Pro is $20 a month, Pro+ is $40 and Ultra is $100, with 2x and 5x the Pro usage. Each plan has a monthly allowance shown as a percentage, and pricier models use it up faster. Shortcut Chat says you won't get overage charges: you wait for the reset, upgrade, or switch to cheaper models. The "shortcuts" are reusable prompt snippets, such as "keep it brief" or "cite sources", that you add with a click or by typing a slash.

Image mode works the same way as chat: one prompt goes to up to three image models, you watch the pictures arrive side by side and keep your favorite. There are ready-made image shortcuts too, such as enhancing an image, making the background transparent or resizing it to a square. New models are added as they come out, and the site has a free directory with pricing, context windows and benchmark scores for each model, plus a "best models" page sorted by use, such as coding or long documents. Every plan unlocks every model, so the main question is how much you'll use it. For occasional use the $20 Pro plan should be enough, and you can upgrade later if you hit the limit. Questions go to the team by email, and there's an affiliate program if you want to recommend it.

Current offers

We don't have a code for Shortcut Chat right now. The one saving on its own site is annual billing, which takes 10% off: Pro is $216 a year, Pro+ $432 and Ultra $1,080. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

How to save more

• Try the interactive preview first. It shows the interface with no account needed, so you can see how side-by-side answers look before paying.
• Start on Pro and watch your usage percentage for a month before upgrading. Asking fewer models per prompt, or choosing the cheaper models, makes the allowance last longer.
• Use the free model comparison pages to check which models are cheaper to run before you pick your default three.
