Woosir: waxed canvas and leather bags with free US shipping

Shopping at Woosir? See all current Woosir discount codes and deals, checked regularly.

Woosir sells vintage-style bags in waxed canvas and crazy horse leather: backpacks, weekenders and duffles, messenger and sling bags, briefcases, camera bags and totes. The site says it has been making products since 1988, and the business behind it is based in Hangzhou, China. Prices are in US dollars and shipping is free on every US order.

It suits commuters, travelers and photographers who like the worn-in look of waxed canvas and leather, and want practical details such as laptop sleeves, trolley sleeves for luggage handles, shoe compartments and padded camera inserts.

What's worth a look

Here are six bags from Woosir's sale and best sellers, at the starting prices shown on the site today. Prices vary by color and size.

The large waxed canvas weekender starts at $99.48 and fits a 16.5-inch laptop, which makes it a good carry-on for a long weekend. If you'd rather go all leather, the leather weekender with a shoe compartment starts at $176.13 and fits a 15-inch laptop. Photographers should look at the leather and canvas camera bag, a messenger-style bag for a DSLR.

Woosir also makes duffles with wheels, rolling leather carry-ons, tactical backpacks and slings, toiletry bags and watch cases, and it can add a company logo to bags for business orders.

Waxed canvas is cotton canvas treated with wax, which helps it shed light rain and gives it the creased, darker look it develops over time; crazy horse leather is a heavily oiled leather that shows scuffs and scratches as part of its character. If you want a bag that looks new for years, these materials may not be for you, but if you like the lived-in look, that's the point.
