NEJE has been making laser engravers in Shenzhen since 2013, and says more than 600,000 people use its machines. It's less of a household name in the US than xTool or Creality, but it sells some of the cheapest ways to get a large working area, gives a longer warranty than any of its main rivals, and makes laser modules that fit other brands' machines too.
We've compared NEJE with four of the best-known diode laser brands sold to US buyers: xTool, Creality Falcon, Sculpfun and AtomStack. We looked at price, power, working area, shipping, returns and warranty. Every detail comes from each company's own website, and prices were checked in US dollars on November 6, 2026. Prices on these sites change often, especially in the run-up to Black Friday, so check before you buy.
At a glance

- Longest warranty: 2 years on the main control board and laser core parts. xTool, Creality Falcon, Sculpfun and AtomStack each give 12 months.
- Upgrades that fit other machines: NEJE says its E80 module ($339, was $449) fits xTool, Ortur, AtomStack and Sculpfun machines as well as its own.
- The catches: NEJE sells no enclosure, only some models ship from its US warehouse, and returns of working machines carry a 15% restocking fee.

Where NEJE stands out
A lot of working area for the price
The Max4 V2 is NEJE's big machine. With the 24W E80 module it's $799 and gives you a 28.3 x 17.7 in bed, the largest of any machine in our comparison. NEJE describes the E80 as having a 0.09 mm spot and says the Max4 supports LightBurn with a rotary as a fourth axis, M7/M8 air assist control, Z auto-focus and door interlocks. A 4-in-1 kit that adds a 4W infrared laser and a blade and pen tool is $1,099, and a 50W version is on pre-order at $1,499 with a 30 to 45 day lead time.
For comparison, xTool's largest machine here, the enclosed S1 40W, is $1,448 for 23.9 x 15.2 in, and Sculpfun's S30 Ultra gives 23.2 x 23.4 in for $539.99.
A two-year warranty
NEJE covers the main control board and laser core parts for 2 years. The other four brands give 12 months. Belts, fans, lenses and protective windows count as consumables at NEJE, as they do at most laser makers, so they aren't covered.
Modules that upgrade other brands' machines
If you already own an open-frame engraver, you may not need a new machine. NEJE sells the E80 24W module on its own for $339 (was $449) and says it fits xTool, Ortur, AtomStack and Sculpfun frames. Check your machine's mounting and controller before you buy. There's also a 4W infrared module, the S1, for $369, which is aimed at marking metal.
Small and simple to start with
The NEJE 5 range is compact, with a 6.7 x 6.7 in bed. It suits small items like keyrings, coasters and phone cases rather than signs or furniture. Models run from $149 to $239, and the NEJE 5 Plus 12W adds a bigger 10.2 x 15.7 in bed for $269. NEJE says the smaller models need only two screws to assemble.
Where the others have the edge
- Enclosed machines: NEJE doesn't sell an enclosure. xTool's M2 and S1 are fully enclosed, which helps with smoke, smell and safety around children and pets.
- Power for the price: Creality's Falcon2 40W is $639 (was $1,319), cheaper than any 40W or 50W NEJE.
- The cheapest way in: AtomStack's Swift 7W is $114, and its A20 Pro V2 20W is $369.
- Shipping speed: Sculpfun ships its US-warehouse models free in 3-7 business days. Only some NEJE models ship from its US warehouse, including the NEJE 5 7W (A40630) and 12W (A40640) and the Max4 E80 and Dual Beam kits. Other NEJE models come from China and take 7-15 days.
- Returns: xTool charges no fee on returns within 14 days. NEJE, like Sculpfun, charges 15% on returns of machines that aren't faulty, and you pay the return postage.
Which should you choose?
Pick NEJE if you want a big working area without paying for an enclosed machine, want the longer warranty, or want to upgrade an engraver you already own. Pick xTool if you want an enclosed machine and are happy to pay more. Pick Creality Falcon if you want the most laser power for your money. Pick Sculpfun or AtomStack if price and fast US shipping matter most.
